It’s a ….. something we don’t know yet

In an ongoing effort to somehow USE my college degree in some way or another my wife and I have decided to conduct our own little genetic experiment. The experiment is about 6-7 weeks along now and looks to come to fruition sometime in late Sept/early Oct. Both sets of parents are sufficiently happy and excited and the pre-mommy is doing fine, other than the nausea (no actual sickness).

We’re hoping it has her looks and brains and my digestive tract. :)

I don’t know which is scarier:

    1) You’re actively procreating
    2) You have a link to my business web site
    3) You want a child to have your digesive tract

Anyway, I’m sufficiently frightened so I guess it must be true. Congratulations, and good luck. Just make sure that you get all of your boozing and whoring out of the way now, because once the baby arrives, life as you know it will end. Not in a bad way, but no one told me in such explicit terms, I figure I should pass on the word.

On a happier note, you basically have carte blance (which, for thosse of you who don’t speak French, means “The White Cart”) to buy the coolest and most expensive digital camera and/or video camera you want.

Hurray! Congratulations! Please keep us posted. I hope all goes very well for you three. :-)

On a related note, did you see Ted’s link to purifying DNA using common household items? Perhaps your next experiment…
