I think this weekend is patient reunion weekend at the Hutch. In August of 2000 we had over 300 former patients come for the celebration. All of these patients were helped, in some cases kept alive, by pioneering techniques developed at the Hutch. I wonder how many there will be this year?
Kind of takes the phrase “Job Satisfaction” to another level.
Update, as I was sitting here outside by the fountain at the circle drive at the Hutch a family with two small children just walked by. I bet we see a lot of kids this weekend that wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for this center.
